NHS Scotland Healthcare Careers Week 2026

NHS Scotland Healthcare Careers Week is designed to help young people explore the diverse range of rewarding careers available within healthcare. Through a combination of pre-recorded learning sessions, live practitioner panels, follow-up classroom activities and supporting resources, pupils will gain valuable insight into Nursing, Midwifery, Allied Health Professions and Support Worker roles across NHS Scotland.

Throughout the week, learners will hear directly from healthcare professionals about their career journeys, the skills and qualities required for their roles, and the difference they make to the people and communities they support. The programme aims to support informed career choices by providing opportunities to explore education and career pathways, ask questions, reflect on learning, and develop a greater understanding of how different professions work together to deliver high-quality care.

These sessions are suitable for S3-S6 learners.
