Talk to a Farmer 2025 Videos
RHET are excited to be working in partnership with the DYW Live/e-Sgoil to deliver ‘Talk to a Farmer’ 2025! Over the course of w/c 17th of March, join us to hear direct from Scottish farmers to gain an insight into how food is produced. The wide range of sessions on offer cover learning in sustainability, maths, science, engineering, health and wellbeing, diversification and geography plus many more topics. We have a wide range of farmers lined up and plenty of opportunity to ask questions to ensure your learners leave with a good understanding of how the food system in Scotland works.
Live sessions for Talk to a Farmer Week will last for 30 minutes, will take place in Teams (Glow not required) and there will be plenty of opportunity for your learners to ask our farmers lot of questions!
This year we've split out offer into different stages to help teachers identify the sessions most suitable for their learners:

There will also be a follow on activity as well as an opportunity for learners to connect with a local farmer and get data from one of their cows for use in school maths, science and IDL projects.
