Global Media and Information Literacy Week

As part of Global Media and Information Literacy Week, DYW Live has a day of live webinars taking place on Wednesday 24th January. The theme this year is Media and Information Literacy in Digital Spaces.

The sessions will be 30 minutes and will be delivered via Microsoft Teams (Glow not required). The sessions will take place at 09:45 & 10:45.

The sessions are free to attend. A recording of the sessions will be made available on this webpage afterwards.

Young Scot will provide young people with up to date knowledge and information on how to identify, use and evaluate the information they see everyday. We will also spend some time talking about Young Scot and the entitlements that are available to young people through the Young Scot National Entitlement Card.

NOTE: We recommend groups have access to a separate device to take part in the Mentimeter.

Wednesday 24th January 10:45 Senior News Editor, BBC Naidheachdan, Iona MacRitchie joins us to discuss efforts to beef up verification, promote accuracy and impartiality in journalism and make sure the audience are getting journalism they can trust.
