Description:
The one-off session is designed to provide students with practical tips on how they can improve their communication skills, covering both verbal communications (presentations / participating in inter-active sessions) and written communications. The aim, in addition to covering the importance of practicing communication skills, will give the students lots of simple but effective advice on how they can improve their communication skills and gain confidence when networking or presenting. If helpful, the session can include a segment on careers in communications.

Session Details:

  1. All about me; the skills and qualities young learners have acquired through their interests and activities.
  2. Communication and Networking Skills; practical tips with students to help them communicate effectively.
  3. The first day of work; what to think about and what to expect.

DYW Context:
Communication skills is a core skill so this session will be relevant to every student, regardless of their future career plans and will be particularly helpful to those starting to prepare for life after school e.g. job interviews, writing their University applications.

Certificate:
Your learners can receive their own Certificate of Achievement signed by Ollie Bray for attending our sessions. All they need to do is complete the learner's feedback form which will be put in the chat at the end of every session. The certificate will include their name and the course they attended, and will be sent to their Glow email (and the Teacher's if filled in). Please note these must be completed individually by learners and unfortunately cannot be filled out on behalf of the whole class by the Teacher.
