Scotland's Assembly - Anti-Racism Assembly

Join us for two assemblies looking at anti-racism. Delivered with our friends at WOSDEC, these assemblies are aimed at mid/late primary and will help pupils understand more about what racism is and how they can stand up and be an anti-racist ally when they encounter it.

Scotland's Assembly - Anti-Racism Assembly 1: What Is Racism

Scotland's Assembly - Anti-Racism Assembly 2: Being An Anti-Racist Ally

The resources referred to during the assembly can be found here: https://www.antiracisted.scot/ There are resources for Early - Third level.

The Padlet below contains a further range of resources from Education Scotland to support your continued work on these themes with your learners.

You can access the Padlet here: https://padlet.com/katiedsouza/racial-literacy-clmjowzl16jydazq
Password: racialliteracy

Entries are colour coded as follows:

Blue: Resources you might want to adapt for class use (always check first as some will contain racist slurs etc.)
Pink: Easy access CLPL (e.g. documentaries, short Ted X talks etc.)
Green: CLPL activities
Peach: Courses, Policy Documents etc.

Please always check materials in the Padlet are appropriate for your learners. Channel 4 and BBC i-Player links may not always work - they tend to take programmes off their services and then put them back on at a later date.
